Our business is helping people. This simple philosophy is the core of Vartanian. The company started in 1979 as a family-owned and -operated business when Roger Vartanian, Sr. designed and constructed a spring-loaded wheelchair ramp for a family friend. In August 2001, Lima, Ohio-based Accubuilt, Inc., one of the nation's largest manufacturers of specialty vehicles, purchased the assets of Vartanian Industries. Accubuilt has been able to bring its engineering and manufacturing expertise in vehicle conversion to the wheelchair, shuttle and limousine van industry, while still maintaining the innovations of the Vartanian product line.
